Default Music Speaker option missing from Hub settings

Shadenfreude

I would like to play the music from the Hub in the dining room through the Bluetooth speakers in the kitchen when I am cooking.

The help section on the app says to set the Default Music Speaker within the audio settings.. However that option does not appear in the settings or anywhere else.

Anyone know how I can find a way to get my groove on in the kitchen?

Hi Shadenfreude,

Thanks for posting. Let me help you get your groove back by setting your preferred speaker as the default one. Follow the steps below:

  1. Make sure your mobile device or tablet is linked to the same account as your display.
  2. Open the Google Home app.
  3. Touch and hold your device's tile.
  4. At the top right, tap Settings, then:
    1. To choose the TV or speaker you want to use when you play music, tap Audio > Default music speaker, then choose the TV or speaker you want to use when you play music.
    2. To choose your preferred TV, tap Display > Default TV, then choose your preferred TV.

To reset your preferred device, tap Reset.

Dan
