Google Home always responds to me but only selectively to my wife.

Google Home problem. When my wife says “stream 3aw”, or any other radio station, it responds “unable to do so, try one of your other devices to connect”.  When I ask the same question it connects immediately. If my wife asks any other question it responds as expected.  We have rebooted the Google home but to no avail.  Please assist.

We’re having exactly the same problem with playing bbc radio.

We are having exactly the same problem on our google home. Very frustrating that only one of us can play BBC radio stations. Other radio stations, Spotify etc work fine.

On further investigation, I turned off voice match on my wife's account for this device and all other devices and it is now working.

PS: she was able to work it by putting on a funny accent........

We're sorry to hear about this. Some of the users are experiencing the same thing, however others have confirmed that it is already working on their end. Could you please tell us if you're still experiencing the same thing? How about testing other radio stations, are they working?

All BBC stations now playing for me. I guess a patch was rolled out by google as I made no changes.

@nobbi7777, thanks for the update. Glad to know it's already working.

 

This issue on BBC Radio should now be resolved. You can now go back to listening to your favorite BBC station on your speakers/display as normal. If for some reason you’re still experiencing problems, please try rebooting your devices to refresh the settings.
