Google speakers slow to respond

Alyoop25

Hello I know other user are having similiar issues but it seems most of the posts are locked. Anyway for the past few months ive noticed my google home speakers and displays are all slow to respond almost as if I have too many connected as if they are having trouble communicating or finding the answer to my question or command.  I have google nest wifi with one point. All devices are within a few feet of the router or point. I have two hub displays one is a google nest hub (2nd gen) a the other is google nest hub max. I have two minis and the wifi router and point. I factory rest everything and it seemed to speed it up for a day or so. It is really frusterating andnmakes me want to go throw them in the garbage snd just get Alexa!  I heard one user say the newest update is ehst caused this slowness.. do i have too many devices connected?

@Alyoop25

We have 4 Nest Hubs, a Nest Hub Max, and a Nest Mini, and get pretty immediate responses.

Ya something is going on with mine it used to work great i dodnt pay attention right away but i feel.like it happened shortly after hooking up the nest wifi

@Alyoop25

This is only my own anecdotal observation, but it seems that a lot of the posts in this forum about issues with performance are from customers with Google Nest mesh Wi-Fi.

We haven't had to use them, but maybe these topics on Google Nest Help will be of some use:

Yes there is still a significant lag after giving a command or asking a question.

Hey Alyoop25,

If you haven't already, please try to do a 2-minute power cycle on your entire network and Google Home devices. Here's the guide:

  1. Disconnect the power from the modem.
  2. Disconnect the Ethernet cable and power cord from the parent point.
  3. Disconnect the power cord from the child points.
  4. Disconnect your Google Nest speakers and displays.
  5. Leave everything unplugged for 2 minutes.
  6. Connect the power from the modem to your router, points, speakers, and displays.

Let me know how it goes.

Thanks,

Lovely
