I can not share shopping list with my wife

Caique
Community Member

Hello guys! I have recently acquired google nest mini 2nd generation and so far when my wife add some product to our shopping list it goes to her list while when I add some item it creates a new shopping list for me instead adding to our shared list.

I would like to understand why some funtionality that should be so simple its making us having such a hard time to fix it.

Thanks

Hey Caique,

Thanks for reaching out — let's see what's going on.

A few questions: are you using a mobile device that has the same Google account as your Google Home? Are you both member of the home structure? Make sure Personal Results is turned on

Make sure you are both collaborator on your Shopping list.

  1. Open the Google Home app.
  2. At the top-right, tap the account icon.
  3. Verify the Google Account on screen is the one linked to the speaker or display. To switch accounts, tap the dropdown arrow > choose another account or Add another account.
  4. Go back to the home screen, then tap Settings.
  5.  Scroll down to Services, then tap Notes and lists > Shopping lists. Note: If asked, have the customer choose an app to open their lists.
  6. To view your lists, at the top left, tap Menu.
  7. Tap the list you want to share > Share .
  8. Enter a name or email, or scroll through the contact lists. The person being added appears under Shared with.
  9. Tap Save.

The person should receive an email where they can agree to be part of the shared list.

Let us know how it goes.

Best,

Alex.
