I purchased 2 Nest Minis (gen 2) to use with my Android TV set-top box (MiBox S).
I paired the speakers for stereo, then paired them with the Android TV box via bluetooth. This results in a 1+ sec delay in the audio.
Like many I've seen report this, pairing with a single speaker is fine, but as soon as there is a pair, it gets delayed.
One solution COULD be to offer a audio/video-offset setting in the Android TV settings, but alas, no such thing 😓
Android TV version is 9 - security patch from March 5th 2021.

Hello FrozenRose,
Thanks for reaching out. Oh no! That is not great to hear that your speakers are having an audio delay. I understand your concern and would be more than happy to help. Let's get this issue resolved and make sure you have a smooth listening experience.
How to correct group playback delay
Note: For many devices, the inherent delay is extremely short, so group playback will be in sync without any additional adjustments. Do not adjust the group delay correction unless you notice a consistent, significant delay. The group delay correction setting only affects group playback. This setting will have no effect when casting to a single speaker or TV. A device’s group delay correction setting will be applied to all the groups that the device is a part of. If you connect a Chromecast or Chromecast Audio to another speaker or TV, the previous group delay correction setting might be incorrect. Make sure to reset it to "0" delay again and listen to see if additional correction is required.
Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns, thank you!

I think you're misreading the question.
The speaker pair are in sync with each other, but the audio cast to them via Bluetooth from my Android TV box (not my phone or other handheld device) is always delayed - as in, not in sync with the video. Quite annoying during dialogue as the video is often over a second ahead of the audio.
This does not happen when the speakers are not used as a pair, but as single speakers. In that case the audio is always in sync.
All devices are connected to the same network, and the problem can often be fixed temporarily by stopping the video (not pausing) and restarting, but like I said, that's only temporary.
My guess is the speakers are sending the audio between themselves via WiFi, causing this delay.
A smart solution to this would be an option to offset/delay the video to match the audio delay.

Yeah, this is still an issue.
I've unpaired and re-paired, both the Bluetooth connection to the Android TV device and the pairing between the speakers themselves.
It sometimes helps to stop whatever you're playing and starting again on the Android TV device, usually requires multiple tries to get it right.
And like I said, as soon as I only use ONE speaker only, no speaker pair, just a solo speaker, everything's fine, so this definitely has something to do with how the speakers are linked/synced.
I sometimes use cheap TWS earbuds with the same Android TV without problems, no audio delay and both buds in sync.
My best guess is that the Nest Minis are syncing via WiFi rather than Bluetooth, and that's where the delay happens (and yes, I'm on a 5GHz WiFi), which begs the question, why don't they use Bluetooth when it is possible? If a $20 pair of TWS buds the size of my thumb can do it, then surely it should be possible in these devices as well.

No, I am not good to go. I gave up returned my speakers. This is such a simple use of these speakers, it should not be such an issue.
