I purchased a Google nest hub 2 nd generation, but I can't enter on sleep tracking. I was told its because in Israel where I live the feature isn't available yet. It will be available someday? There is a way to available it? Is there something I can do?

@elchaby

Google Nest is rather vague about where sleep sensing is supported. All they say is "Sleep Sensing isn't currently available in all languages or countries."

They also say: "Sleep Sensing is available for preview at no additional charge through 2023. In 2024, Google plans to integrate Sleep Sensing into Fitbit Premium (currently $9.99 per month or $79.99 per year, subject to change and may vary by country)."

Maybe someone on Google can explain it  better. What the situation is.?

Hi folks,

@MplsCustomer, thanks for the help.

@elchaby, "Sleep Sensing" uses Motion Sense to track the sleep of the person who's closest to the display. Motion Sense, powered by Soli, uses a low-energy radar to detect movement and breathing. Other sensors in the Nest Hub (2nd gen) detect sounds, like snoring or coughing. The device can also detect environmental factors, like light and temperature in the room.

The Soli Sensor only works in some countries and I'm sorry to say that it does not include Israel.

I understand that this would be a helpful feature, however this option is not available. In line of this, we want to encourage you to send feedback from your end and we’re hoping for all the possibilities by taking our user’s feedback and suggestions.

Let us know if you have additional questions, otherwise we'll be locking the thread in 24 hours.

Kind regards,

Dan
