Hi guys
I have multiple smart life WiFi switches. But lately the dimmers becomes unable to be controlled in Google home , but the smart life apps still works .
It shows as grey without on or off button.
Please help !!!
I have tried unlinking Google home accounts and re link. , Not luck , I tried creating a completely new home account with no luck.
Im not sure if it could be something to do with my WiFi router as I have been tweaking a lot due to having too many WiFi devices .

Hey folks,
78912, thanks for the help!
Danny5, hope syncing your devices helps. If the issue persists, make sure your devices are within 15-20 feet of your router and connected to the same network. If you have a dual-band router try connecting your devices to the same band. Try rebooting your devices together with your router to refresh the connection. Also, resetting your Google Home might help too.
Let us know how it goes.
Best,
Alex

Hi I have tried all of those , this also happened after I tweaked some network setting on router . Could that partially block some smart home devices ? It still works on smart life app but not google home

Hey Danny5,
Chiming in - thanks for the update. To confirm, have you tried resetting your lights? It is possible that some changes on your router blocked the connection between the devices, and it is best if you try to re-setup your lights again from the native app.
Keep us posted.

Hi - may i check what you mean by resetting the lights ? I went to turn off the entire power supply to the house and restarted it after 10 minutes. I have tried re-linking device to SMARTLIFE then relinking it to Google HOME .
I have not tried restoring the router setting to factory settings yet. Is there anything else you would recommend?

Hey Danny5,
Thanks for coming back to us. No need to reset your router because it will affect all devices in your house. You just need to factory reset your bulbs to refresh the connection on the native app. Normally, you can reset it by turning on/off multiple times until it blinks non-stop. You can also check if there's a reset button on the bulb. Please tell us the make and model of your bulb so I can check it for you.

Muddi

Hey Danny5,
Sorry for the delays. To confirm, have you tried turning off/on the lights from the switch? Could you tell us the specific model of your bulbs so I can check how to reset it.

Hi Danny5,
Thanks for the information. To confirm, have you checked if there's an option to reset the switch from the native app? Also, does it have a light indicator? If yes, try to press and hold the middle switch until the light indicator blinks non-stop. If that doesn't work, I suggest you contact the manufacturer so they can guide you properly on how to reset your device.
Keep us posted.
