Are Third (3rd) Party Google Home Speakers still supported? Zolo Mojo issues.

I have 2 Zolo Mojo Google Home smart speakers.  They often don't show up as being devices I can cast to.  However, I have 2 Google Hub Max, 1 Google Hub 1st gen, and 2 Google Home Minis that always show up as castable devices.  They are all connected to an Asus RT-AC3100 with advanced wifi settings at default.

If I power cycle the Mojo devices, they will show up as castable devices, but only for a short time.  I'm not sure if it's minutes, hours, or days.  I can say "Hey Google" and they work fine, and they always appear as active devices in the Google Home app.  However, if I touch them in the app, they show up as 0% Volume which is not true, and when I go to Settings, it says, "Some settings are available only when your mobile device and this [name] speaker are connected to the same Wi-Fi network".  They are connected to the same 5GHz network.  Device information doesn't show anything under "Technical information".  The Google brand devices don't have that message, they show the correct volume, and Device information shows a whole bunch of information under "Technical information".  I have tried factory reset, rebooting them, rebooting the router, they only ever stay castable for a short time.

  1. Is there any workaround that would make these Zolo Mojo always show up as being castable devices?
  2. Google announced last April that 3rd party Smart Displays will no longer receive any updates.  Does this also apply to 3rd party smart Speakers?
  3. Specifically, will the Zolo Mojo ever get any more updates?  I've already noticed I can't make voice calls with them, while I can from Google brand devices.

If I need to switch to Google brand devices for everything to work properly, that's fine.  Just thought I should make sure there's no hope for my Zolo Mojos before I dump them.
