Assistant enabled device (aqara g4 doorbell) won't show live preview

My doorbell camera which had worked fine on google home app for months had all of a sudden stopped showing the live camera playback in the app and doesn't come up under camera tab in favourites anymore either. Had not changed anything just happened out of nowhere and I can't seem to fix it...

  • 2.4 GHz Network: While some third party doorbells might support 5 GHz Wi-Fi networks, it's generally recommended to connect them to a 2.4 GHz network for better compatibility. Check your router settings and make sure you're connecting the doorbell to the 2.4 GHz band (if available).

Google Home App:

  • Google Home App Update: Ensure you're running the latest version of the Google Home app on your phone or tablet. Updates often contain bug fixes and improvements related to smart home integrations.
  • Re-link third party Account: Try un-linking and re-linking your external account within the Google Home app. This can sometimes refresh the connection and resolve linking issues.
