Hi my Tapo bulb recently decided to not work so I readded it to Tapo app and then home. Now I have an entry for the same bulb that works as usual but a duplicate device in home that says it's offline and I can't get rid of it.
Any solutions gratefully received, I'm going slowly mad.

Go into any of the TAPO devices in google home, go into device settings, click the 3 dot menu at the top, and unlink Tapo, then relink the tapo devices. see if that helps!

Many thanks Ashepherdson, I did see that option but didn't know if it would just unlink the account or all my Tapo devices, I have about 20, and didn't relish trying to link them all again individually.
Many thanks again.

Create a new home in Google home and move the device there, then delete the new home. It worked for me on Tuya.

Does the bulb work as intended with Google Home?
If you don't want to just put the duplicate offline bulb in a "junk" Room and forget about it, I would suggest a radical plan and going back to basics and...
1) deleting the bulb from the Tapo app.
2) Reconnecting (not unlinking) app to Google Home. This should remove duplicate and actual bulb from Google Home app.
3) Resetting bulb to add to Tapo.
4) Reconnect Tapo to Google Home app again and add new device to Home and Room.
