Hi,
I have a Chromecast plugged into our new Samsung Smart TV. I keep getting message saying can't connect Chromecast with wifi. I have rebooted modem, done a factory reset on Chromecast by holding the button down until it sets factory reset and then it just stalls on Device Utility App saying connecting to WiFi but nothing happens. Any help is appreciated! Thanks so much. Also, I have tried uninstalling Google Home App and reinstalling updated version.

Thanks for posting and for being a step ahead of us. Since this requires the use of the Device Utility App, this must be an older version of Chromecast that has missing updates. I suggest you try another smartphone for setup. Other users use an iOS device for setup since it won’t require the Device Utility App (not available in the App Store). You can delete the app after the set-up is complete and use your own phone for casting. The borrowed phone is just for setup purposes.
