Google Home doesn't change the volume

Igino
Community Member

I installed the Yamaha Musicast app to use the CD NT670 D media player on my smartphone and connected the device via Google Home.

The Google Assistant routines that I then saved (one for each main input of the media player, e.g. Spotify, radio, tv, etc.) have preset volume levels as per my preferences.

They work correctly for turning on devices and changing required input, but they never change the volume, which always remains at the last level left from the previous use.

How come? How to solve the problem?

Thank you,

Igino

PS until a few weeks ago the volume changed correctly as per the set routine. It is only recently that the problem arose. I tried to uninstall and reinstall Musicast apps and routines to no avail.

Hi @Igino,

Thanks for posting in the community.

I'm sorry to hear that your Google Home isn't adjusting the volume as expected. Even though your Google Assistant routines have preset volume levels, it seems to be stuck at the last used volume. Don't worry, we can help!

To provide the best assistance, please answer these questions:

  1. Which Google Home model do you have?
  2. Is this issue specific to the Google Home app?
  3. Do you experience the same problem with other apps?
  4. What troubleshooting steps have you taken with your Google Home device?
  5. Have you tried troubleshooting the Google Home app?
  6. Are you using the same Gmail account in the Yamaha MusicCast app as you are in your Google Home account?

Thanks for your kind attention; I will be looking forward to your answer.

Sincerely,

Virna
