Google Home setup in new home

Kinseysmith

We recently moved, and now our Google Home won't connect to our Devices via Google Home App.

When we log in to connect to the device, it says that the Google Home has previously been connected by a different user and needs to be factory reset.

We have:

1. Done the factory Reset

2. Added our new Home address

3. Tried this with both accounts it was linked to

It is plugged in and just has blinking white lights. Help?

Hi, @Kinseysmith,

Thank you for posting in the community. I understand how frustrating it can be to move and encounter issues with your Google Home. It's especially annoying when you've followed the steps to reset and reconnect it without success. I'm here to assist you in finding a solution.

To effectively troubleshoot, please provide the following information:

  • Which devices are not working in the Google Home app?
  • Did you purchase these devices, or were they already there?
  • Are you using an Android or iOS device?
  • Is the Google Home app up-to-date?
  • Are the devices offline in the Google Home app?

In the meantime, please try the following troubleshooting steps:

  1. Reboot your WiFi router.
  2. Force close and reopen the Google Home app.
  3. Uninstall and reinstall the Google Home app.
  4. Use another device to log in to the Google Home app.

Please let me know how these steps go.

Best regards,

Ana
