Hi @Markoproactive !

Thank you for posting in the community. I'm sorry to hear that someone is unauthorizedly accessing your Google Nest and Google Home devices, causing you significant trouble by streaming your voice, controlling your lights, and potentially your mobile devices. I understand how concerning this situation must be. I'm happy to help you!

Here's a step-by-step plan to keep your account secure:

1. Change your Google Account password: Create a strong, unique password that you haven't used before and that combines uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters. Advise all account members in the same Google Home app or Nest app home structure to do the same.

  • Go to your Google Account: myaccount.google.com
  • Navigate to "Security."
  • Under "Signing in to Google," click on "Password."

2. Review "Third-party apps with account access":

  • On your Google Account "Security" page, scroll down to "Third-party apps with account access."
  • Remove access for any apps you don't recognize or no longer use.

3. Make sure the settings for your Google Nest devices haven't changed.

4. Enable 2-Step Verification (Two-Factor Authentication): This adds a crucial layer of security, making it much harder for anyone to access your account even if they have your password.

  • On your Google Account "Security" page, find "2-Step Verification" and turn it on.
  • Set up multiple verification methods (e.g., Google Authenticator app, backup codes, a security key).

5. Review "Your devices" and sign out of unrecognized ones:

  • On your Google Account "Security" page, go to "Your devices" and click "Manage all devices."
  • Sign out of any devices you don't recognize or that aren't yours.

Taking these measures will help you secure your account much better.
