Google home app in New pixel 9 pro xl won't connect

Google home app says 'can't connect' when logged in on new replacement phone (pixel 9 pro xl). Have tried uninstalling and installing multiple times. Had anyone else come across this issue?

Could you please provide a screenshot of the "Can't connect" error you are receiving?

In the meantime you can try some steps for this situation:

  • Clear App Cache and Data: Apps accumulate cached data that can sometimes become corrupted and cause issues.
  • Check App Permissions: Ensure the app has the necessary permissions to access the features it needs. Sometimes, restricted permissions can prevent an app from working correctly.
  • Check Your Internet Connection: Many apps require an internet connection to function correctly. Verify your Wi-Fi or mobile data connection is strong and stable.
  • Restart Your Device: A full device restart can clear temporary glitches, refresh memory, and resolve conflicts.
