Hoiw to remove offline device

RamonaSteve
Community Member

I have replaced a Nest (2022) with a Nest Learning Thermostat (Gen 3).  The new device is set up and working great.  However, I cannot figure out how to remove the old device that is no longer connected from the Google Home app.  In the Google Home app on Android, the old Nest shows up as offline, but I am unable to find an option to remove it from the app.

Does anyone know how to accomplish this?

Thanks.

Hey RamonaSteve,

Sorry for the late reply. I wanted to follow up and see I could be of any help. I found an article with more details on how to remove a product. Please let me know if you are still having any trouble from here, as I would be happy to take a closer look and assist you further.

Best regards,

Hey there,

Checking back in if the shared link above helps. If the issue persists, you can create a new home structure and move your devices to it. Once done, you can delete the old home that you have.

Thanks,

Alex
