I previously migrated Nest to Google Home. Nest is now linked to the same Google account as Google Home. Why don't the Nest products appear in Google Home? Everything else in the house appears but not ANY of the Nest devices.
I've seen this question posted several times and we all need a solution. I tried adding Nest to Google Home directly (using works with....) And after logging in to Nest with my old, Nest password, when I get to the apply button, it just comes up and says "whoops, we have a problem, try again."
I sure hope I don't have to start over resetting my Nest app and adding all the devices in again. Please provide a more simple solution. Thank you.

Hey there,
Sorry for the late response, but I wanted to drop in here to help.
I understand that these issues can be confusing but I definitely wanted to stop by and see how I could help.
Just wanted to double check to see if you were still needing help on this? If so, what troubleshooting steps have you tried?
Please let me know.

Garrett, in my original post I I asked about the purpose of Google Home. Sure, I see all of my devices listed, and after moving my thermostats to the correct home, I now see them, but when I click on any of them, they are shown "offline" (check your network connection) At the top of the screen there's a link to the Nest app, and I can then control them from the Nest app, but what's the point of Google Home? I also have Dish equipment that shows up in Google Home. It shows the devices as "off." I also have a Samsung TV that shows up. When I click on it, it attempts to connect, but then shifts to "offline." I probably have 15 devices that show up, but can't do anything with them in Google Home. All of the devices are on the same network. The phone itself finds them and they are all easily controlled, but not through Google Home.
I helped my cousin (a novice with computers) set up Google Now over the phone to control her TV. She can also "cast" to her TV and can cast Duo calls to her TV. We did this over the phone and she loves it! But my OWN Google Home won't do anything and I have no casting options and everything is on the same network. What is the secret??

Hey there Rickp,
Sorry to hear that you're still having troubles with this.
Just to clarify, it sounds like there are many problems or is it just 1 specific problem that you're having? Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app? I would also try doing factory resets on your devices so that you can start with a clean slate and then link everything up.
Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Best regards,
Garrett DS
