Linking Google Home to MSmartHome App

Hello, I have been attempting to connect my Toshiba Smart microwave to my Google Home account to no avail. I've connected/setup the device in the MSmartHome App but when attempting to link to Google Home I get the an error message informing me to try again later. Anyone else had this experience? Were you able to resolve? Appreciate your assistance.

I also just bought the same microwave and am having the same exact issue. I keep getting the error that says MSmartHome doesn't have any devices.

I never got it connected so I bought an Alexa. Alexa wouldn't complete several of the command functions as listed on the microwave. I returned the microwave and Alexa. Best of luck to you with your purchase.

Thanks for reaching out — let's check this out.

 

A few questions: was it working before? Can you control it using its native app? Also, have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling your Google Home app?

 

A few checklist:

 

  • Make sure your devices are connected to the same network and within 15-20 feet of your router.
  • It's  working on its native app.
  • Make sure all apps are updated.
  • Try rebooting your Google Home and router to refresh the connection.

- It works with the native app

- It has never worked with Google Home. 

- I have rebooted everything and uninstalled Google Home and reinstalled. 

 

Still not working. Google Home says the native app doesn't have any devices.

Thanks for the details. Based on the information that we have on this link, the microwave is not on the list of devices that can be controlled by Google Home using MSmartHome app. But, let's try resetting your Google Home and see if that helps.

Hey AClayeJ,

 

We're sorry for the confusion. Since you're using a third party app in controlling your Toshiba microwave, it's not a guarantee that it will work via voice commands even though you can control it on the MSmartHome app. You can contact them to verify the integration of these products.
