@Antha

What you're describing  shouldn't really be possible exactly as stated.  Is there more to your situation?

If you are using the Google Nest app with an unmigrated Nest Account that you set up before August 2019 and it was set up with your email, then if you log onto the Google Nest app with those email credentials of yours, then you have access to that Nest Account and your Google Nest devices. Further, your boyfriend would only have access if you had invited him to be a member of your "family" in the Google Nest app.

On the other hand, if your Nest Account was set up with your Google (gmail) Account, and you log onto the Google Nest app or the Google Home app with your Google (gmail) Account, then you have access to that Nest Account and your Google Nest devices. Further, your boyfriend would only have access if you invited him to be a member of your "household" under Settings | Household in the Google Home app.

I figured out that there are different levels of access and it was designed 2 watch ur home but my boyfriend is using it 2 watch me while he's working out of town so he set it up and has owner access which I can't get into and denies having any smartthings or nest account but I see them in our apt so I don't know if I should unplug them all, take all the the light bulbs, etc out and reset devices bc its wrong for my privacy 2 done like this!!!!

Hi Antha,

Understood ― let’s see what’s going on. Just to confirm, when signing into your Nest app, are you choosing the Sign in with Google or the Sign in with Nest option?

Thanks,

JT

Hi there,

I appreciate your help, @MplsCustomer and JT.

@Antha, I'm sorry for the delay. I know it's been a while now. Were you able to try to Sign in with Google instead of Nest? If not yet, please do so and let us know how it goes.

Best,

Jenelyn
