Hi I previously used Google WiFi , now the app does not work, when I go to the Google home app my WiFi is not found , there's no option , I've tried to add a new device but it doesn't find it .

My WiFi does work , I'm simply trying to access the settings to create a guest network, bit I can't find the WiFi so cannot edit it.

I am having the same issue. My owner account for both Google Wifi and Google Home are same. But when I try to find the Wifi using add a device, it fails and doesn't find anything.

Hi, Josh1 and rvj.

Sorry about the issues you're having with your WiFi setups and the Home app. I'm sure that's quite frustrating, especially when things were working fine previously. Let's take a look at the issue and get this fixed for the both of you.

I do have some questions that might help us out.

  • Having you both migrated to the Home app through the Home app?
  • Are you doing a fresh setup in Home?
  • Is your WiFi network active, including the points?

Here are the steps for importing your network into Home. You do start with adding a device, but you need to select to import a network rather than set up a new device.

  1. Open the Google Home app Google Home app. If you’re new to the Google Home app, follow the prompts to set up a home. Use the same Google Account in the Home app as you use in the Google Wifi app.
  2. Tap Add device or service  and then Import Google Wifi network and then Next.
  3. Choose a home and tap Next.
  4. Confirm your Wi-Fi network, then tap Next.
    • If you don’t find your Wi-Fi network listed, make sure the network is online.
  5. Follow the in-app instructions to finish adding your network.

If this is the process you're using and it's still not working, let me know and we can take more steps. Thanks.

Hi, everyone.
As we haven't had any activity here recently I'm going to go ahead and close the thread. If you have more to add, feel free to start a new discussion.
