Nest app showing offline, thermostat shows online.

Thermostat shows offline daily on the app for no reason. Check Thermostat, shows connected to the network, phone connected to same network. Tried reset, same issue. Only thing I can think of is issues with the app itself.

Hello RTrackwell,

Thanks for reaching out. I understand that it's never ideal to have the thermostat show offline in the Nest app while connected to the network. Let's get you back online.

I found an article with troubleshooting steps for when your thermostat is showing offline. Please let us know if that helps or if the issue still persists.

Regards,

Mark

Hello everyone,

@RTrackwell I'm dropping by to ensure that everything is covered here. How's it going with your Nest Thermostat? Were you able to read the information and check the link that Mark has shared?

Try checking this information:

  • Check your Nest Thermostat's battery.
  • Check if there's any error message.
  • Your Nest app or Google Home app should be on its latest version.
  • Make sure your Wi-Fi network is working good.
  • Restart your router.
  • Restart your Nest Thermostat.
  • Check for any interference.
  • Try connecting it to a mobile hotspot.
  • In case you're still getting the same issue, Reset it to the factory default.
  • Don't forget to check the link above for more information.

Let us know how it goes.

I appreciate the help, Mark.

Thanks,

Emerson
