A bug with the Google Home app can corrupt your account causing the message in the title to appear when opening the app. A search reveals the issue has been around since at least 2018 with countless users impacted. I currently have a support ticket that has been open for three months with no resolution. I just get passed from "senior specialist" to "senior specialist" that reiterate the same scripted responses. The only "workaround" is to create a new google account except there is no way to transfer your paid subscriptions (nest aware, YouTube music etc) without cancelling and resubscribing.
Will this issue ever be fixed?
