Shared Controls

Why am I always seeing the notification that I have a shared control of a device when I live alone and own any Google/Smart Products. I can pause the video and control the sound of the THING playing on THAT TV but I don't own it. I don't know how my phone is connected to it. 

Please tell me how to remove my device from it so I can rest easily.

Thanks for visiting the Google Nest Community. Are you using a public or shared Wi-Fi network? If yes, your phone can discover cast-enabled devices connected to the same network. You can configure your Cast media control notifications.
