This morning, I experienced something quite unsettling with my Google Home settings. I received notifications indicating that my late wife—who sadly passed away 8 months ago—had removed our four Philips Hue lights from our Google Home setup. Seeing these notifications was a deeply eerie experience.
Upon checking, I noticed that I could no longer see or control the lights through Google Home. However, they were still visible and fully functional in the Philips Hue app.
My late wife's Google account remains secure. She only shared her account information with me, and a few months ago, I updated her account with a strong new password just to be safe. Google’s access logs confirm that no one else has accessed her account. And at the time of those notifications my laptop on sleep mode and I was not using my phone either.
Her account serves as the primary account for our Google Home configuration. When I logged into the Google Home app on Android using her account, the devices suddenly reappeared. However, I had to re-add the actions for these devices in my routines, as those were lost.

Thanks! I created now case for this using the form. However, I did not receive any case number.
The incident i.e. Hue lights removal happened in the morning of 13th August at 8:55 EEST.
I did not receive emails about this but my phone received 4 notifications (due 4 lights removed).
I have a screenshot of these notifications.
