how to reset device type for smart switch?

I have set in the app the device type as "outlet" for my Smart Life switch. Since then, I cannot get rid of outlet or other device type and come back to simple "switch" type. How do you do this?

Thanks for reaching out. I'd like to dig deeper into this.

What app did you use to set up the Smart Life switch as an outlet? Is it still working? Have you tried any troubleshooting steps?

The Google Home app usually follows the setup that you have in the Smart Life app. The only way you can change the device type to switch now is to factory reset the device and configure it again, so I suggest getting a hold of Smart Life for this.
