I’ve been trying to edit devices shown on the Google Home app. It is very difficult to remove third party devices from the Google Home app. The Google home app needs some serious help not a user-friendly software application.

Hi Chris,

To remove devices from the Google Home app, you need to unlink the service the device is associated with. To do this, you would tap Settings > Works with Google and then tap the service that you wish to unlink and tap "Unlink account".

If you wish to remove an individual device, this needs to be done on the platform with which the device is associated. This will then remove the device from your Google Home.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

All the best,

M old Dish Hopper with Sling is still listed in my Home, but it is not linked.

This will not work.

I also have a Dish Hopper listed as a device and I cannot delete it. The issue is that when I select unlink account, I no longer have access to log into my old dish account, so I cannot manage the device from the platform that the device WAS associated with.

I have been stuck with this device in my Google home for years and cannot get rid of it. This seems like it could be a simple fix. Please do something about this!

I also have a Dish Hopper with Sling that I cannot "unlink" or delete.  I'd love to get it off my good home devices because commands for "all" or "everything" trigger a message from my Google Assistant that there is an error with hopper.
