Second nest doorbell.
Working fine, charged twice from new.
This morning, video from camera is good.
Press the bell - tiny sound within bell push... Nothing heard within house? Phone, smart display, speakers etc.
Cold (2 deg C). Suspect the contact, though pressing it 20 times made no difference?
Send it back to google? Second failure?

Device: smart display, sw 62..0.67690136
No power outage
Not new, I've re-charged it 3 or 4 times since new
Visitor announcements was already switched on for the doorbell
AFAIK, the smart display is the only device that I can hear when the bell is pressed.
one I put it on charge, pressing the bell 'responded' informing me of the time to fully charged. Perhaps the wifi is weak once the battery is down to a low charge?

Odd 'message' this morning. Charge your doorbell soon - only 2 months left?

Hi, @dpawson!
Thank you for your response. I appreciate the information you provided. I understand the outside temperature is 2 degrees, and I apologize for any inconvenience this may be causing with your doorbell. I'm happy to assist you further.
The extremely cold weather may be causing the doorbell's battery to drain quickly.
Currently, the only known solution for issues related to extreme cold is to warm up the doorbell before reinstalling or attempting to pair it again.
Use the removal tool included in the box to remove the Nest doorbell from its wall mount.
Bring the device inside and let it warm up to room temperature in a warm, dry place. After the device has warmed up, reinstall it before its temperature falls outside of the operating range, or wait for a warmer day to reinstall it.
Restart the doorbell by pressing with a pin the button located back of the doorbell for 5 seconds and try to pair the Nest Doorbell in the Google Home app.
Please let me know how it goes.
Best regards,
Ana

So 2 degrees is 'extremely cold'?
I need to warm it up and repair it each time it gets cold?
That sounds like an admission that the doorbell is not fit for purpose.
I would like my money back please.
