Camera and Doorbell notifications on multiple Google Home devices

After a car was stolen in front of our house, we are very interested in getting a camera/doorbell and other security cameras for our house. All smart home devices in our home are either Google or work with Google and we have a lot of devices. We have 5 Lenovo clocks, 7 minis, 2 Nest Hubs, 1 Chromecast TV and countless other Chromecast audio devices connected to various stereos and sound systems throughout our house and backyard. I'm concerned the Nest doorbell will send notifications to all these devices throughout our house and backyard at the same time, which is something we do not want. From what I've read, the only way to limit that is to turn on the Do Not Disturb feature on all devices where we don't want notifications to be sent. Wouldn't it make more sense for it to be the other way around? I want to tell the doorbell to alert us on the following devices only and not to every audio and video device that's connected to the same network. Is that possible? Also, when viewing the feed from the doorbell camera (and/or other cameras), how does it decide which video device will display the camera feed? Can you specify which device I want to see the video feed on? Or does it send video feeds to all video devices on the network? If it's the latter, I guess I'll start looking at other systems instead because it makes no sense for a video or audio feed to be sent to all video devices at the same time. Thanks for any insight you can provide.

@kiothedog

"Visitor announcements" triggered by pressing the button on a Google Nest Doorbell are sent to all Nest Hubs, Nest Minis, and Nest speakers (unless they are set to "Do Not Disturb"): https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/7672451?hl=en. I don't know whether "Visitor announcements" get sent to non-Google devices.

Thanks. I guess Google assumes most people only have one or two devices or expect people to want to be notified on every device in their house, even if that means sending notifications to a couple dozen audio and video devices throughout a house. For as impressive as Google can be with certain things, I'm left scratching my head with others. If anyone from Google is reading this, they should know that I want to stay within the Google ecosystem, but this lack of foresight as to how customers actually want to use these devices could be what prevents me from going with Google. In my mind, when the doorbell and cameras are set up, the user should be presented with a screen similar to the "Media" screen and the user should be allowed to select which devices they will be notified on - first for audio, then for video. And as a user, I should be able to modify those choices at any time. This seems like a no-brainer to me.

Hey there,

Sorry to hear you haven't had the best experience with this. We’re always looking for ways to improve, and appreciate your feedback. You can send it at any time using your devices by saying, "Hey Google, send feedback," or by following the steps found here. Thank you to user MplsCustomer for your assistance.
