I was setting up a routine to turn on the floodlights at sunset. I wasn’t able to save the routine because it required a voice starter. I want to have the lights come on at sunset without a voice command. How do I save the routine without a voice starter?

I'm having the exact same problem. If the voice command is and "OR" with the sunset time, then it's fine, but if you have to also speak a voice command, it sort of defeats the purpose of controlling the lights at sunset. Hope someone answers this -- I can't find anything.

I have the same problem and have been trying everything to get it to work with no luck. Defeats the purpose of having a flood light if you have to remember to turn it on and off every day.

Same problem here. I wonder if Google can add a different trigger besides a voice command. Not much for automation if you have to remember to speak to it.

I just found this on Reddit, which I never thought to look at until tonight! I'm just going to try it and see what happens: Smart Plug Routines via Google Home App : googlehome (reddit.com)

I'm not sure a smart plug would work for the floodlight since this model comes hardwired as far as I can tell.
