Im trying to put the nest app on my new phone,but it keeps sending a verification code to my old number?How can i fix this?

Don't you have to change the mobile phone number associated with your Google account first? I've never had to do this, but these are Google's instructions: https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/3463280?hl=en&co=GENIE.Platform%3DAndroid
