Changing doorbell announcement

Is it possible to change the wireless Nest doorbell announcement so that it just says "Someone is at the front door.", rather than "Someone is at the front door doorbell."? Doorbell seems both inaccurate and redundant in this context. They pressed the doorbell button, but they're at the front door. ??

I can imagine it has been an inconvenience, and I would love to look into this further for you. What do you have your doorbell named as? I am wondering if you change the name or room name your doorbell is connected too, it would announce that for you. Please let me know.

Thanks for getting back to me on this. I can change the room to 'Entryway' rather than 'Front Door', and it will announce 'Someone is at the Entryway Doorbell'. That said, and in my opinion, this is only a marginal workaround. The doorbell is at the front door, and 'doorbell' is still at least redundant. 🙂

Is it possible to change the announcement to leave off 'doorbell'?

As far as I am aware, no there isn't such an option. But please share your experience with our engineers and developers in the app. We appreciate all of your feedback you have shared thus far, but want to make sure it goes to the right avenues.
