Recently, we had our front door replaced so the Nest doorbell was reconnected afterwards, and now the mechanical chime inside the house doesn't work. We have replaced the transformer with a smart doorbell transformer, reconnected the app and camera itself even had Google send a new doorbell cam.
The issue seems to be that the camera thinks it is not getting power, so it is using the battery. In the app we can't access the chime type toggle or change the chime length because it thinks it doesn't have power so won't let us change any settings.
Has anyone seen this before? How can we get the doorbell cam to recognize that it has power (we know it does because it was working the day before).

I'm not sure what you mean by a "smart doorbell transformer", but Google Nest lists its transformer requirements here:

As with many customers in this forum, we have a 16V 30VA transformer.
If you disconnect your doorbell and touch the two doorbell wires together, does your doorbell chime ring? If it does not, then you don't have power at your doorbell.
