Doorbell not charging (battery)

My nest doorbell will not charge when plugged in. The first charging event was something similar. Plugged it in several times with no response but it finally started showing it was charging. 

Currently, second charging event, the doorbell will not charge. It made the sound that it was connected when I first plugged it in but never charged and died while on the charger. Tried different plug and cord with no success.

Hello. I will be following. The same thing has happened to mine. It will not charge. I’ve tried different outlets, cords and cubes.  I’ve had it less than a year.

Same.  Had mine less than a year.  I found a post that said delete the device from the Home app and reconnect.  That did not work.   Now its dead and disconnected from my home app...

Hi folks

 

Thanks for reaching out.  How many hours do you charge your doorbell? Are you still using the charging cord that came with it? It takes approximately five hours to fully charge the battery.

This does not help…. Did you read the comments?  How would the battery charge if the charger is not working?  That’s literally the problem we are having is that it WILL NOT charge. It died while connected to the charger. 

Please escalate this issue to someone who can contact me or replace this device.

Hello, I am also going to submit a form. Mine started doing the exact same thing (not charging). I've tried the charger it came with as well as many other charging cords and nothing is working. I don't have any error issues on the app saying there is a problem, it just shows that my battery is at 4%.
