Doorbell not sending notifications to my phone.

I have a doorbell linked to my phone through the XSHCam app. It did work well but now It doesn’t send me a notification if someone rings it. It is still linked as I can see the picture. I have tried deleting the app and starting from scratch with no joy? Any ideas.

Hi there,

Thanks for posting in our community.

I understand that your doorbell, which is linked to your phone through the XSH Cam app, has stopped sending notifications when someone rings it. I appreciate you sharing the important detail that you can still see the live feed, and the troubleshooting steps you've already taken. It's my pleasure to help you with this concern.

To provide you with the best possible assistance, I would appreciate it if you could answer the following questions:

  • Is this a Google Nest doorbell, or a different brand of doorbell that uses the XSH Cam app?
  • What is the specific model of your doorbell? (e.g., Nest Doorbell (battery), Nest Doorbell (wired, 2nd gen), or another brand/model).
  • Have you set up your doorbell with the Nest app?

I'll be looking forward to your response.

Best regards,

Virna

Hi there

Thanks for your message.

The doorbell isn’t a google nest product. It’s a “X Smart Home Video Doorbell” made in China

It isn’t hardwired but run by rechargeable batteries which are new.

Hope you can help.

Hi Roger68,

I appreciate your prompt reply providing relevant information. This gave me all the necessary details to help you more effectively.

Since the X Smart Home Video Doorbell and XSH Cam app are not Google Nest products, I recommend reaching out to the doorbell's manufacturer for support. They'll be able to help determine if the issue is hardware or software related and provide tailored guidance, as their product has specific features that differ from Google devices.

Feel free to keep us posted if you have more questions.

Best regards,

Virna
