Flood light and day sensor don’t work well together

The flood light fluctuates because of the daylight sensor.  How do I make that stop?

Hi Dbar,

Thanks for reaching out to the Community. I'm sorry to hear that your Nest Cam with floodlight and the lights are not working as expected due to the daylight sensor. But no need to worry, help is here.

Power Supply:

  1. Check Wiring: Ensure the camera is securely connected to the power source.

Camera Hardware:

  1. Inspect for Damage: Check for any visible damage to the camera or its components (like cables or adapters).
  2. Check that the Daylight Sensor is not blocked or damaged.

Verify the Daylight sensor settings:

  1. Open the Google Home app.
  2. Tap and hold your device's tile.
  3. Tap Settings and then: Daylight sensor.
  4. Select: Daylight sensor and choose the light setting you want to use.

Restart the camera:

  1. Ensure the cameras are fully charged or connected to power.
  2. Even if you tried it already, please make sure to Restart your camera as established on the help center based on the model of your devices.

In case it helps, follow the steps from this guide to Change floodlight settings

Let me know if you need further assistance.

Best,

Mario
