I do not know if this is an ongoing thing, but I bought this doorbell with one of those intentions being that it incorporates with my smart home which is mostly all Google home assistant products.
However every time we try to view the camera on screen it says that it cannot. The assistant acts like it can but the feed inevitably shows a line through a camera with text that reads "camera feed is not available".
In this linked thread I found the person could not stream the feed to their Android TV devices, but they claim that it will work
for Chromecast with Google TV built in. I have the newest iteration of the 4K Chromecast with Google TV alongside the newest Google doorbell wired 2nd gen and they definitely do NOT work together as Google claims. Unless someone else has figured it out? I know if you buy the inclusive Google home assistant screens they work as well, but it seems there should be no reason that they would not work with the Chromecast with Google TV built in as Google themselves claim?

Just to let you know I am experiencing the same problem but I started my own thread. The comment space here didn't leave me enough room to say everything I had to say. I hope yours gets resolved, I'll let you know if I figure it out but so far, nothing. I have spent 8 hours today troubleshooting and made no progress.

Hi there,
I can imagine it has been an inconvenience, and I would love to look into this further for you. Have you checked to make sure that all of your devices are compatible together? Are you logged into the correct account associated with your cameras on your Google TV? Please let me know.
Best regards,
Brad

The first troubleshooting step that I'd recommend would be to restart your device. This process should keep all your settings, and reconnect it to the same Wi-Fi network. This is helpful if it ever freezes, has connection problems, or isn't working normally. Please let me know now it goes.
Best regards,
Brad

Steps I have previously taken:
Restarted router
Restarted CCwGTV
Restarted doorbell
EDIT: Also I tried removing, re-adding all above devices from the Google Home app. Google assistant continues to act like there is an active feed to switch to, but the only thing that appears is the screenshot above.
Is it possible the 2nd gen wired doorbell specifically is somehow not compatible? Most documentation I have found seems to suggest it is compatible: https://support.google.com/chromecast/answer/7529598?hl=en
It seems the Google smart device environment is not the most robust with compatibility or ease of use sadly, love the product quality and wishing the Google Home based smart home environment was more reliable.

Reset both my 2nd gen doorbell and my nest cam battery following the instructions you linked. Both have reset. Both will stream fine on command to my nest hub max. Neither will stream to my chromecast with google tv. Original issue persists with no changes.

Has this been ruled out as a global issue affecting everyone, or a large volume of people? I have a hard time imagining this is anything other than a software issue with google tv.

For information, it also doesn’t matter if my chromecast with google tv is Ethernet connected or on wifi - results are same. My first gen nest products also stream just fine, it’s only new gen devices.

Experiencing same issues for the past few weeks. Everything worked fine before, nothing has changed with my set up.

I have 3 of the outdoor cameras and 2nd gen doorbell. When ever I try to live stream I get like 5 sec then buffering. That's if live actually shows up. I wonder if this is all part of the same problem? I mean the doorbell is essentialy useless.
