My nest flood lights are a tremendous waste of money. None of them will connect to a joining device. I have reset my entire network and they still will not. In addition my Google Mini speakers will not factory reset.
I am beyond disappointed in the garbage product and sorry I became part of the nest/google echo system.
Is there some manual way to make it connect to a joining device? I have the thermostat, doorbell etc but none of my nest floodlights will connect to a joining device. I have factory reset, I have done everything mentioned in the forums and NOTHING works.

I was having the same issue when I changed my internet router, what worked for me is using a different device that the floodlight camera was never connected too before. In my case my phone and laptop both had the joining connection issue, so I added my son as a household member which gave him manger access and I was able to add my floodlight camera through his phone no issues at all. Hope this helps

I fixed it. I factory reset all my cameras and speakers, then setup a new network called Cameras and Speakers, and they connected fine. They would try to find connecting device, then it went straight to picking Wi-Fi network and entering my password. Worked great. I am not sure why it would not do that before. It should just go to that instead of an error “something went wrong” screen.
Anyway, maybe that will help someone. I actually like Google when the WiFi works. It just is frustrating to have to reset up a whole network and all the devices.
Note, I kept my old network as well and just deleted the devices I moved to the new one. The old one still has the thermostat, ipad, Computers and TVs etc.

Hi Brain11811,
Thank you for posting here in the community. I really appreciate the help, @Edmari. I'm sorry that your Nest Floodlight camera and Google Nest Mini don't connect to your joining device, and it won't factory reset. I understand how frustrating it is when you do all the troubleshooting steps but it doesn't work. Help's here.
I just want to confirm. Did you see any error codes when trying to connect to your Wi-Fi?
Did you try to connect using another phone?
Please review this good article to troubleshoot Nest Floodlight camera set-up messages. Also, please follow this article on how to properly factory reset your Google Nest Mini. There are a few options and steps to isolate the issue.
Let me know if you need more assistance, I'll look forward to your response.
Regards,
Byron
