Google Nest Doorbell (Battery) Mounting Plate

The mounting plate that came with my doorbell is finicky, like the hole for the lock button on the doorbell itself is too small. 

How can I obtain a replacement metal mounting plate?  I'd like to try a different one, rather than return the entire unit, doorbell and all.

Unless you have a defective mounting plate or doorbell, maybe seeing the installation on one of the videos on this page on the Google Nest Help website will help:

I can assure you, it's not a matter of not knowing how to mount it on the plate.  I should have used a micrometer to measure the hole (and "button") before mounting the mounting plate.

Then it seems that either the mounting plate or the doorbell itself are defective and don't fit together. Perhaps you should contact Google Nest Support, as challenging as that can be:
