Google Nest Doorbell (battery)

Tried to set up doorbell (battery). Had a hard time to get camera online. Camera was on for a short time in process of setup. As soon as power cable was disconnected, the camera went dead.

We don't have the Google Nest Doorbell (Battery) due to all of the negative reviews about being unable to keep the battery charged in cooler weather in this forum. However, since this is a battery-powered doorbell, were you able to charge the battery before installation? The instructions on the Google Nest Help page below say: "Use the included USB cable to fully charge your doorbell for battery-powered installation. Keep it plugged in during setup so that it can connect to the app and the Wi-Fi network. The status light will pulse white when your doorbell is charging, and will appear solid white when it’s completely charged."  Almost the same instructions are indicated for a wired installation.

Hi there,

I apologize for my late response and thank you for all of your patience while waiting for a reply. I can definitely understand how frustrating your situation must be, but I wanted to make sure that your issue was addressed. Which lights are seeing when you plug in the device? Can you see any form of battery level?

Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Best Regards,

Brad.
