I have been a BIG nest fan. Over the years I have added 5 camera’s, doorbell, Yale lock, 3 nest protects, thermostat, nest hub and finally decided to get the new floodlight camera. It came today and when I installed it I found out it is not recognized in the nest app? ARE YOU $&@:); kidding me!!?!? Why would google do this. I have it installed and to be honest it is useless to me! It’s not fair for me to return this to the store I bought it. Where do we go from hear? Either I need a workaround to get it added to the nest app… or I’d like to be compensated for the product. Ridiculous.

Unfortunately, you have discovered what many Google Nest customers have discovered. The new Google Nest cameras released starting in the fall of 2021 work ONLY in the Google Home app, and NOT in the Google Nest app or on the home.nest.com website with our other Google Nest cameras and doorbells.
Google's rationale for this 2-app approach--along with many customer reactions--can be found in this Sept. 29, 2021 blog in this forum, where they promised they'll be adding Nest functionality to the Google Home app, and a new website to replace home.nest.com. But we've been waiting for 6 months with no further word:

You’ll also notice that the app updates are taking months to release and have become more focused on chrome Tv integration. There are no camera settings updates, nothing for the alarms they used to offer. It’s all about Chrome tv MarketShare vs Fire tv
