Google doorbell

I have a battery doorbell that can be configured as wired.  I have tried to connect the doorbell to my iPhone but am unable to be notified on my cell whenever the the doorbell is depressed.  I do get video when sensed there is activity outside.  Google has avoided any help on any issue associated with their products.  

Have any ideas or is the doorbell (button) not able to connect to my iPhone?
