Google nest doorbell battery draining wile plugged into power

Hello folks.

So I have two Google nest doorbells (battery). I have them wired in. The first was put on my front door which replaced an Vivint video doorbell ver.1, it was wired in not battery. I assumed that the ac adapter used for the Vivint was adequate to power the Google doorbell. However I was wrong. So after I set the doorbell up I fully charged it then I installed it. I plugged the adapter in to the wall then I got the plugged in symbol all was good. Note I didn't install the 2nd Google doorbell because I was waiting on an adapter I purchased from the Amazon. So a few days had passed, I just so happen to look at my Google doorbell settings on the app that's when I got the notification that it was down to 68% still indicated that it was plugged in. However it said it was too many events. I checked the adapter noticed it was only 12v 500mA. So I thought maybe it's not enough power to keep a charge. I went back to the Amazon and ordered a 2nd adapter the adapter I purchased are 18v 500mA. I then received the adapter for the 2nd Google doorbell I installed it on my side door it worked fine I never go the message about the battery draining. So I installed the first doorbell 12/20/2021 it finally died around 2am 1/8/2022. It lasted almost 3 weeks. Today 1/8/2022 I replaced the AC adapter from the old Vivint doorbell with the one I purchased from the Amazon. I went on Google website and read that the doorbell being wired will keep the charge around 75% to maintain the battery health side note I wonder if the software is allowing it to drain but not telling it to charge. I got curious, I unplugged my second doorbell to see where would the battery percentage would be and wouldn't you know it said it was at 38%. This broke my heart. So I'm wondering if maybe someone have tried an 24v ac adapter and if they have success with it please let me know sorry for the long post I needed to explain everything.

You might want to see this long thread on cold weather concerns with the new Google Nest Doorbell (Battery):

Thanks for the response. However I'm not really having Cold weather excessive drainage issues. This week has been a little colder than when I first did an install it was 15F yesterday but now it's 30F. When I first noticed the issue it was 50F or higher
