Google nest doorbell battery

Hi guys

i have installed a google nest doorbell ( battery) and planning to hard wire it with a power supply. I managed to find a 24vac power supply in Australia. I have tested the power supply with multi meter without any load and found that the output is around 28.5vac from a 24vac power supply. The recommended for my nest doorbell is between 8-24vac. The question is, is the output too high for my doorbell.

Hello,  I'm an end user like you and been around electronics and volt meters all my life.  Is the transformer marked as 24VAC?   It is not at all unusual to see a number like 28 without any load.  You should be good to go in my opinion.
