Holiday RING Tone themes for the doorbells...

Hello everyone,  It is 12/01/2023 and I just noticed when I launched my NEST APP I was created with an information screen that Holiday Themed Ring tones were now available for my NEST HELLO Doorbell.   I'm pretty sure they are also out for the GOOGLE HOME APP if you are on the newer generation doorbells as well.

This is a ROLL-OUT by Google over the next few days so not everyone may have them yet.

To see if you do go intro your app and select your doorbell and then select the gear icon.  scroll down to near the bottom and you should see something like "Doorbell Theme".  If you select it there are about 5 options.

Good luck!

I selected the Christmas theme but when I press the doorbell button all I hear is the default chime.  I selected one of the other themes and the default them and then the Christmas theme...still nothing.  I did pop off the unit and pressed the reset for 10 seconds....still no Christmas theme....only the boring default chime.  I have read past issues from last year and the year before but I never seen a reply that explained how to fix it.  PLEASE HELP

Hi Big--Daddy,  I'm an end user like you.  Hmmmmm, so what I'm getting is this:  When the button is pushed the person standing at the doorbell hears the Christmas theme.   My iPhone still puts out the normal Ding-Dong.  However my Google Hub devices inside the house all play the Christmas theme and auto-switch to the camera view.   So I guess my question is where are you listening from?

I'm standing in front of the doorbell.

Hmmmm,  You may have to open a support ticket and get an actual Google Tech person to help.

The only other thing I can think of is make sure you are on the newest version of the phone app.

Contacted support via chat - They had me unistall both Google Home and the Nest app.  Once I reinstalled and logged in the themes worked.  They said it had to do with my doorbell being the earlier version.

Wow,,, that is great news!  I'm so glad they were able to help you.   And thanks for posting the update.  This will likely help other folks with the same problem.

Cheers
