How can I record a video segment from my Google Camera's history

BK555

We have multiple Google cameras. The older ones appear on both Google Nest and Google Home. The newer ones I am unable to view on Google Nest, although I would very much like to. I must therefore view them on only  on Google Home, using either the Google Home app or my web browser on my Mac. It seems that only Google Nest gives me the ability to download and save video segments that I would like to keep.

Someone robbed our car last night but the camera footage is on one of our newer cameras which I can only view using Google Home. How do I save the footage of the robbery? I cannot figure out how to do this on either my Mac or iPhone. I can see the event but not record it.

Thankyou.

As customers, we are on our own on this. I've seen posts from some customers who have used Apple's ability to record the screen to capture the video on an iPhone. I haven't had to do this, but here's a link:

There is also this Mac capability, which I haven't used:

Hello everyone,

@BK555, thanks for reaching out here in the Community. I'm dropping by to ensure that everything is covered here. How's it going with your Nest Camera event history? Were you able to read the information and check the link that MplsCustomer has shared? In case you have an update, you know where to find us.

I appreciate the help, MplsCustomer.

Best,

Emerson

I was not able to do what I wanted to do and am extraordinarily disappointment with my new Google cameras that cannot be connected to Nest. Without Nest, they are pretty much useless. Time to go back to Ring.

Hi BK555,

Thanks for getting back to us. We know where you're coming from and this is not the experience we want you to have. I understand if what you're referring to is not available right now. We're always looking for ways to improve and we'll take it as feedback. I'd suggest you send feedback about your concern using this link to let the Google Engineering team know about your concern. While they won't respond directly back to you, this is the best way to let them know about this. Please let me know if you have other questions or concerns as I will be locking this after 24 hours. Feel free to start a new thread and we'll be happy to help.

Regards,
Emerson
