I receive "Low Device Temperature" warnings for one of wired Nest Cam with Floodlight  even in the summer.

I have three of them mounted in the same location. The other two don’t give any warnings and work fine.

Hi AAABO,

Thanks for reaching out to the community! I’m sorry to hear that your Nest Camera Floodlight shows a Low Device Temperature message. I’m here to help!

To better assist you, I’d like to ask the following:

  • What is the current status of the LED lights on your Nest Cam? For reference, you can check out this article: Nest camera and doorbell lights and sounds.
  • Did you notice or experience any power outages recently?
  • Do you see if there are any signs of debris, corrosion, or damage in the wall adapter's pins, the Pogo connector’s pins, or sockets?

In the meantime, you can try the following steps:

  • Ensure you're using the original power cable that came with the Nest Cam Battery box.
  • Check the battery state through the Google Home app by going to Favorites or Devices > Select the Camera > Settings > Under Device features, tap Battery.
  • Ensure the Nest Cam Floodlight has minimum temperature requirements. At temperatures between -20 °C (-4 °F) and 0 °C (32 °F), the battery can still power your device, but it won't charge. It may also drain more quickly than usual. At temperatures close to -20 °C (-4 °F), your battery may have less than half the life it has in warm weather. For more information, you can check out this article: Cold weather battery charging behavior in Nest cameras and doorbells
  • Perform a restart on your camera. For instructions, you can check out this article: Restart or factory reset Nest camera or doorbell.

Keep me posted.

Best regards,

Jenniffer
