Mechanical chime not working

I’ve been trying to figure this one out for awhile now. Read another post about their mechanical chime and followed their instructions but it did not work for me. The nest camera has sufficient power to record video. I installed the chime connector. I enabled indoor chime. I tested both mechanical chime setting and electronic chimes . Also in electronic chime mode i tested every duration 1 sec to 10 sec and still nothing. I even replaced the doorbell with a new one thinking the unit was defective. Still nothing. Anyone have any more ideas? I’m ready to give up.

You can have issues with your indoor chime if the chime connector is wired incorrectly.

An inadequate doorbell transformer can also cause problems with ringing your indoor chime. Here are Google Nest's requirements; I've seen posts from customers who have problems with transformers that just barely meet the minimum requirements:
