My backyard camera keeps sending me notices of people, but when I check the history I see nothing? How can I correct this?

Do you have a Nest Aware or Nest Aware Plus subscription? The link below shows what history you get without a subscription and with each of the various subscriptions for various cameras and doorbells. Note that when it says "up to 3 hours", it is referring only to the most recent 3 hours.

Hello folks,

@DH54 I'm sorry to hear if you're having inconvenience with regards to your notification alerts. There are a few things that can trigger unwanted alerts or false positives, here are common triggers to name a few:

  • Changes in the light level
  • Shadow moving across the frame. For example, if a cloud moves in front of the sun.
  • Trees or bushes swaying near the customer’s important areas.
  • Headlights or flashing entering the field of view.

Give these steps a try:

  • Try turning off an on the push notification and check the people if it's toggled on.
  • Try setting up an activity alert.

Keep me posted.

I appreciate the help, @MplsCustomer.

Thanks,

Emerson

Hey DH54,

Just one quick final check in here since activity has slowed down. We'll be locking the thread in the next 24 hours, but if you still need help, I would be happy to keep it open. If there's more we can do, just let me know.

Best,
Emerson
