Remotely managing a second home where I've set up a couple of Floodlights. Need one of the Floodlights to come on at sunset and off at sunrise. Set up routine which turns Floodlight on but second routine doesn't turn them off. Manually running routine doesn't work but tapping Floodlight in Google Home App manually does work for turn them off/on. So remote connection is good - but routine isn't consistent. I've tried deleting and redoing the routine. I've tried adding a voice command within the sunrise routine...
Also notifications aren't coming through even for the routine that does work (turning On the Floodlights at sunset).
Hello, I'm and end user like you. I don't have one of the floodlight cams or I would give it a try. It looks like you have everything set correctly. For this you may want to speak with an actual Google Tech on the phone. Here is the link to get that set up. I believe they are there 24/7. If they solve it please return here and let us know what it was as it will likely help other people in the future.
I changed the Routine to Turn Off the floodlights from Sunrise to 15 minutes after Sunrise. Thinking that maybe it's struggling with Sunrise, even though location etc is set.
3 days in and it seems to be working, I'll update again after a longer period of time.
Still not working as expected. Testing different routine adjustments but no luck yet. Unless of course there is a known issue with Nest Floodlights being controlled independently by Google Home Routines.
How's it going with the routines of your Nest camera? I just wanted to know if you have any updates. If you have other questions and concerns, feel free to let me know.
I appreciate the help, JT, Brad and EmptyNester.
Just checking in to make sure that you've seen our responses. Please let me know if you have other questions or concerns as I will be locking this in 24 hours if I won't hear back from you again. Feel free to start a new thread and we'll be happy to help.
Thanks for chiming in, Emerson.
