Nest Doorbell Indoor Chime not working

My Nest Doorbell indoor chime does not work.
I’ve read many of the reviews and the solutions mentioned only work with wired Nest Doorbell. I have a doorbell that is battery powered.

It clearly works from the outside, but unless I have my phone, I can’t tell if anyone is outside. I’ve missed service calls, food and packages because I can’t hear the indoor chime.

It is a bit frustrating and I am looking for some solutions before calling a Nest technician or electrician.

Thanks

Thanks MplsCustomer,

It is not wired and the visitor announcement was selected on my phone. After investigation, I learned that we had a power failure and other items in the grid were also not working.

 I flipped the switch in the fuse box, turned off, then on again the visitor announcement on my phone and now everything works.

@LaraCen

What exactly do you mean by "my Nest Doorbell indoor chime does not work"?

Is your battery doorbell wired to your indoor doorbell chime, and the "Indoor chime" option is turned on, but your indoor doorbell chime is not working?

Or is your doorbell NOT wired? If this is the case, the "Indoor chime" option is automatically disabled because the doorbell is NOT wired. You can instead turn on "Visitor announcements" (https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/7672451) to get announcements on your Nest Hub or Nest Mini or other Nest speaker.
